That work requires more than fabrication alone: it takes design judgment, material knowledge, permitting experience, installation skill, lighting expertise, and a clear understanding of how signage lives in the real world.
A Company Built from Craft
Art Sign Co began with Chandler Grey Dillard, a talented young sign painter who created show cards for USO shows while serving in the Navy in Hawaii. After returning from service, he helped open Modern Art Sign Company in Fort Lauderdale before continuing the work on his own under the Art Sign Company name.
Three Generations of Sign Building
Chandler built the company through years of hands-on work, then taught the trade to his sons, Joe and Dan. Joe later led the business, and the third generation continued the family involvement with Shari Dillard helping guide operations as the company grew.
Space, Equipment, and People to Support the Work
Today, Art Sign Co operates across four buildings with dedicated areas for large pylons, monument signs, cabinet signs, paint, neon, faux neon, sales, graphics, art production, channel letters, and vehicle support. That scale gives the team room to handle detailed custom work and demanding signage programs.
